Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email, display name, avatar, profile fields, and password hash.
• Content you create: films, profiles, applications, casting calls, comments, watch-party messages.
• Payment data: Stripe handles card details. We only store IDs (customer / subscription / payment-intent) so we can match payments to your account.
• Usage data: which pages you view, what you search for, error logs. Used to improve the platform, not sold.

How we use it

• To run the platform you signed up for.
• To send transactional emails (purchase receipts, casting replies), these can't be turned off without closing your account.
• To send the optional emails you control in email settings.
• To detect abuse (spam, copyright violations, payment fraud).

Sharing

We share data only with the processors needed to run the service: Stripe (payments), our hosting + storage providers, and email delivery. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for cross-site advertising.

We respond to lawful legal requests but we'll push back on overbroad ones.

Your rights

You can:

• Download a copy of your data (contact support).
• Delete your account from settings, we'll remove personal data and anonymize the rest within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (tax / fraud).
• Correct anything that's wrong, most fields are editable in your dashboard; for the rest, email privacy@sphere.cinema.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a security-token cookie to protect form submissions. No third-party analytics cookies by default.
